The doctors don''t seem to understand that you can't take a week off whenever you want, and the professors probably don't understand that you caannot plan your emergencies around vacaation.

I'm off after june 12. I'm trying not to count the days. It's hard for me to accept thaat it's my last summer vacation.

If I marry someone with a good job, I may occasionally have most of the summer off when my children have it off. I'll lose a lot of money, but it's only money, which is worth less than time where children are concerned. That's if I can afford it, though.AlexisARhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09797016673203467911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6485729541580426717.post-69126626231468524142015-05-01T19:56:09.186-07:002015-05-01T19:56:09.186-07:00i hadn't thought about it, but it's certai...i hadn't thought about it, but it's certainly possible i'm more sensitive to smells. I hope that's what it was. It's a more comforting thought that i could smell it better because of a heightened sense of smell than that everyone else could smell it just as well as i could but were not admitting it to me and then were laughing behind my back.i hope your platelet count continues to rise. aneighbor of mine nearly bled to death when she developed a peduliar form of aplastic anemia in which her body inexplicably quit making platelets. It was a side effect of Inluenza A. continue to get better, please.

i understand your desire to get through school quicker, but we'll get finished soon enough. Enjoy summer break while it still exists. now that I've made the decision not to teach math, I feel great peace about my decision.

Jillian is almost 24 wees along with her second baby. She's doing quite well this time. andrew is so cute and funny. he's crawling and pulling up to things and walking around them now. i suspect he'll walk in another month or so, and he's only six months. He's a big boy to be Jillian's child. he must have gotten size from his father.

Other than helping Jillian and shadowing a few doctors, i shall be the ultimate bum this summer. I will do this with my parents' complete blessing, especially since Matthew will be even lazier than I will be. i intend to practce my instruments since there will not be many chances next year, and even fewer chances in the summer and year following second year. Uncle Scott got a little more time off in the summers. i picked the wrong program, but at least it has a good reputation. My dad got even less time off than I will get.AlexisARhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09797016673203467911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6485729541580426717.post-42240707606899815432015-05-01T12:56:07.753-07:002015-05-01T12:56:07.753-07:00i think my brother is "Youngster" and i&...i think my brother is "Youngster" and i'm "Youngster's Baby Sister." At least I am no longer concerned about how badly I conformed to the cool group's way of thinking and behaving.

Keep remembering and missing Claire. I lost my best buddy from medical school days 11 years ago. Still talk about him to those who shared experiences with us, and my nearest and dearest know I need to keep mentioning his name.

Enjoy your summer. I planned to take 3 classes this summer and 2 fell through because there weren't enough people registering. I am sort of bummed about that, but it's probably better that I have a break anyway.

I ended up in the hospital about 2 weeks ago. I thought I had another line infection, though cultures came back clean. I had all of the symptoms too; my blood pressure would not budge above the 70's/30's, the ER attending had no idea what to do because it stayed that low even after 2L of normal NA, my fever spiked to 105 over night. Apparently they think it was some type of cytokine storm. My platelets and other cell counts dropped due to some sort of autonomic glitch. I have no idea. As long as they keep coming up, I can stay out of the hospital. My platelets were up to 66 when I left, so it was trending in the right direction. It was absolutely the worst time to have something bad happen. I had finals review the week I was discharged, Dr. B wanted me to take a week off but you really can't skip finals week.

So yeah, catching up on your blog now. Glad to hear you got your cast off. Do you think you are more sensitive to smells since you are sensitive to taste? I learn things about alternative medicine and then write articles on them doing my best to explain them is an easy to understand way.

My mother did gymnastics along with her ballet. I was co-captain of my high school gymnastics team. Then after high school I taught gymnastics at a summer camp. Of course I was more flexible than anyone since I had been doing yoga and martial arts since age 12. I loved teaching gymnastics more than I loved doing it (I guess that is part of being an empath).

This study is in the Lancet. In the 1960s they gave over 10,000 babies in Finland 2,000 IU of vitamin D daily for the first year of their life. The results were that it reduced type 1 diabetes by 80%. This is causation not correlation. Note that the pregnant mothers also needs vitamin D supplements if they live in Finland. Also new research shows that there is also a big connection between mother and baby getting enough vitamin D and getting autism. PubMed says that vitamin D is actually a neurosteroid hormone and it helps the body to get rid of toxins. Here is my article on it. http://bit.ly/type-1d

Before reading this post I commented on that other post where we had been discussing being twins. My latest article was on the new research that has been done on pomegranate juice. It surprised me. They have found that drinking pomegranate juice daily causes a reduction of plaque in the arteries that causes atherosclerosis.

Also The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has 60 clinical trials on pomegranate (according to Wikipedia) testing clogging of arteries (atherosclerosis), coronary artery disease, memory, dementia, aging, prostate cancer, diabetes, flu, colds, osteoporosis and more. http://hub.me/ajrjD Chuck Bluesteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01291807414895185920noreply@blogger.com
